Battle Realm is not a game for those predisposed to the peaceful negotiation of a solution to their problems. Many levels end with a protracted attempt to hunt down remaining peasants before mercilessly putting them to the sword. Sure, they can fight back, but it still feels wrong to be forced into butchering civilians - more so because during the rest of the game you feel so in control. Another problem is, that this lack in gameplay combined with the undemanding enemy AI makes this game only a second choice on the market for real time strategy games.
