Commandos 2 takes the player to a wide variety of combat locations. From occupied France to the South Seas, players must thwart the Axis powers, achieving specific objectives like stealing plans and destroying vital enemy equipment. In the first game planning was essential to the success of each mission, and in Commandos 2 this same rule of delicate preparation applies, but to a much more involved and detailed degree. Developer Pyro Studios has included enough new features and abilities in Commandos 2 to challenge, and hopefully satisfy, even the most devious player. In the sequel, plans must reach a level of wartime skulduggery and daring that would make Hannibal and the A-Team proud. Commandos can now distract German soldiers by throwing cigarette packets and knocking on walls, jump through windows, scale walls, swing from overhead cables, peer through windows and foil the Fuhrer's forces inside buildings as well as out. Of course, not every Commando can do all of this, and only by working in a team can your soldiers overcome all odds - just as in the first game, each Commando will specialise in a certain area.
