1993 Microsoft released the Flight Simulator 5, a new version of the ever best selling game. The media described it at this time as the best flight sim on the market. Compared to its predecessor - which you could play from a floppy disk - you had to have 14 MB of free space on your hard disk. Included in this game was also a flight trainer, as "realism could put some people off". Beside the great step in realism the graphics also made a leap forward.
