Shogun is a realtime war strategy simulation, based on the "Sengoku Jidai" or "Age of the Country at War" period of Japanese history. During this time rival factions, led by their Daimyo (feudal warlord), battled for military supremacy. Ultimately, one Daimyo became Shogun (military dictator of all Japan).
